Global Gaming Business magazine today announced the winners of the second annual Global Gaming Business Gaming & Technology Awards. The awards, which recognize excellence in innovation and practical application, will be presented at the 6th Annual Gaming and Technology Conference to be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center on November 9, 2004.

A brand new survey reveals that 396,000 Oklahoma adults gambled at a casino last year and that gamblers tend to have more money compared to non-gamblers and are more likely to be politically active.
The study, "Profile of the American Casino Gambler: Harrah's Survey 2004," shows that Sooner State residents averaged 3.4 trips to in-state and out-of-state casinos during the past 12 months. The most common destinations were Indian casinos, Las Vegas and Tunica, Miss. According to the survey, 165,000 gamblers in the Oklahoma City area accounted for roughly half - 578,000 - of all Oklahoma trips.
